What? Dead-Beef on a Tuesday?!
Yes, dear reader, today we make up for not posting on Friday because Erin and I drove off to Saskatoon to see all the, uh…things…that there are to see…in Saskatoon. I was then, of course, supposed to post on Monday but I completely forgot about it because I was watching Star Trek: The Next Generation on blu-ray. True story. Not a good story, but a true one.
Today’s Dead-Beef is a bit different. During the original run of the comic we celebrated our first year of publication by asking fans to submit their own one-panel guest comics and got some great stuff back. Some who submitted were peers of ours in the web comic world, I sometimes wonder what became of those fine gentlemen and if any of them are still publishing web comics. I suppose I could just Google them…nah.

Not to get all morbid, but Sam Shapiro who did the syringe gag up there died a few years ago. I used to read his comic and one day when I went looking for it for nostalgia purposes I discovered a memorial where his site used to be.
Really? That’s awful, he was a great friend of the comic and Force Monkey’s was fantastic. That’s very sad to hear.
